ScopeThis notice applies when you use Smart Jet’s websites, apps, or services to request, receive, or manage private aviation services—such as searching flights, booking empty legs or full charters, managing itineraries, or contacting support (collectively, the “Services”).This notice specifically applies if you are:A Client (requesting or receiving private flight services via Smart Jet).A Passenger added to a booking by a Client.A Guest User receiving services booked by another account owner (e.g., a corporate account or family member).An Enterprise Customer contact (e.g., a business using Smart Jet for its travelers).A Renter of related services we facilitate (e.g., ground transport add-ons) when available.This notice does not cover individuals who provide flight services (e.g., pilots or crew) on behalf of operators. Operators and their personnel should refer to our Operator Privacy Notice.Our privacy practices may vary based on applicable laws where you use the Services. Data collections and usesA. Data we collectWe collect data from three main sources: (1) you, (2) your use of the Services, and (3) other sources.1) Data you provideAccount information: name, email, phone, password, address, preferred currency, profile photo, settings (e.g., accessibility, communications).Passenger & itinerary details: legal names, dates of birth (for security screening/age eligibility), nationality (when required), special requests (e.g., pets, catering), baggage notes.Identity verification (when required): government ID/passport details, selfies/liveness checks (used to prevent fraud and confirm eligibility).Payment information: card tokens and related verification info (processed by our payment providers).User content: messages to support or operators, ratings/feedback, attachments (e.g., documents for TSA/FAA compliance), and any photos you upload.Sensitive information is collected only when necessary (e.g., date of birth for security or age requirements) and handled per applicable law.2) Data collected when you use the ServicesLocation data: approximate or precise device location (if you allow it) for nearby airports/FBOs, routing, and fraud prevention. You can use the Services without precise location, but some features may be limited.Flight/Order information: search queries, selected routes, airport codes, dates, passenger count, aircraft preferences, quotes, bookings, prices, payment confirmations, and post-booking changes.Usage data: pages viewed, clicks, session timestamps, app events, error/crash logs.Device data: IP address, device identifiers, OS/browser, language, network info, motion/telemetry (where allowed).Communications data: messages/calls between you and Smart Jet or (where applicable) operators, including time/date and, where legally permitted and disclosed, recordings.3) Data from other sourcesOperators & service partners: booking status, aircraft tail assignment, schedule changes, performance and safety confirmations, service notes (e.g., catering fulfilled).Identity/fraud prevention vendors: ID validation, watch-list checks as required by law, risk signals tied to device or account.Payment processors: payment status, charge dispute info.Corporate administrators (Enterprise Customers): traveler lists, eligibility, cost center data.Marketing/analytics partners: ad engagement and campaign performance (never your full payment card details).Public/authority sources: information needed to comply with applicable law (e.g., law enforcement or regulatory requests).B. How we use dataWe use data to provide safe, reliable, and efficient private aviation brokerage and related services, and to comply with law.Core usesProvide and improve the Services: account setup, airport search, pricing, booking, itinerary management, operator matching, customer support, debugging, and service optimization.Safety, security, and fraud prevention: identity verification, suspicious activity detection, preventing unauthorized access, enforcing terms and policies.Payments: calculating amounts due, processing payments and refunds, receipts, and financial reconciliation.Personalization: saved routes/airports, aircraft suggestions, relevant content (you can control marketing personalization; see Choices below).Communications: booking confirmations, operational updates (delays, FBO changes), policy updates, and service announcements.Research & development: service analytics, quality assurance, and feature development (including training models to improve search, pricing signals, and customer support).Legal & compliance: DOT Part 295 broker obligations, FAA/TSA requirements, tax/recordkeeping, handling legal claims or regulatory requests.We may use automated processes to assist with:Matching: pairing requests with suitable operators/aircraft and routing options.Pricing: estimating or displaying prices based on aircraft category, seasonality, and availability.Risk & fraud: detecting abnormal behavior or known compromised credentials/devices.C. Cookies and related technologiesWe and our partners use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies on our sites, apps, emails, and ads to:authenticate users and remember preferences,analyze traffic and diagnose issues,measure and improve marketing,personalize content where permitted.See our Cookie Notice for controls and more details.D. Data sharing and disclosureWe share your data only as needed to provide the Services, at your request or with your consent, with vendors/partners under contract, for safety/legal reasons, or as part of corporate transactions.1) With other users and operatorsOperators / service providers (e.g., FBOs, ground transport): passenger names, contact info, itinerary, special service notes (e.g., pets), and any IDs required for security/compliance.Additional passengers on your booking: itinerary essentials and contact coordination details.Enterprise Customers (corporate admins): traveler usage/itinerary needed for program management, expense, and compliance.2) At your request or with your consentData sharing features (e.g., sharing itinerary or live updates with a contact).Third-party services you connect (e.g., loyalty programs, corporate travel tools).3) With service providers and business partnersCloud hosting, analytics, communications, identity verification, payment processing, customer support, marketing measurement, and security vendors (bound by contracts and processing instructions).4) With affiliatesWithin our corporate group to operate and support the Services.5) For legal reasons or disputesWhere required by law or valid legal process; to protect rights, safety, property; to enforce our Terms; in connection with insurance claims; or during corporate transactions (e.g., merger or acquisition).We do not sell personal data as “sale” may be defined by certain U.S. state laws. Where “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising applies, you can opt out (see Choices).E. Data retention and deletionWe retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:Account, booking, and transaction records: typically retained for up to 7 years (tax, accounting, legal).Operational logs and analytics: retained for shorter periods unless needed for security or legal holds.If you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify your data unless retention is required for safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or legitimate business purposes (e.g., outstanding credit or disputes). We generally complete deletion within ~90 days of a verified request, subject to the exceptions above.III.
